Janhvi Kapoor talks about the cost of entourage in Bollywood
Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most popular young actors in India and is currently awaiting the release of her film Mr & Mrs Mahi. Recently, the actress shared her thoughts on the rising entourage costs in Bollywood.
Janhvi said that she is mindful of the rising entourage costs for actors but also wants to protect her team. Janhvi, who is also a producer’s daughter, said in an interview to The Indian Express that she does think about the costs but considers everyone on a film set an artist. She also added that she cares a lot about her team and wants to protect their rights. “But as a producer’s daughter, I also know the burden and pressure that financial issues can put on a producer. It is important to have an open dialogue with the creators,” Janhvi said.
According to a report in the Indian Express, the cost of escorts varies from star to star, but on average, spot boys charge Rs 25,000 a day, personal security guards Rs 15,000 a day and stylists up to Rs 100,000. This amounts to overheads of around Rs 2-2.2 million per day.
Janhvi spoke about striking a balance, like if you can’t line up all these things like in a film, then you make adjustments and if the production team can handle it, then that’s fine.
Oh, it’s not your fault, you’re your fault.’ So I think it’s easy to get your head around these things,” she said.
