Durgesh on modeling his panchayat character on a real person
Banrakas became one of the most memorable characters of the show due to his devious ways and opposition to the characters of Pradhan Patti (played by Raghubir Yadav) and Abhishek (played by Jitendra Kumar).
Asked if he was doing method acting on his part, the actor said he got inspiration for the character of Panchayat from someone he knows personally. “There is a man in my village called Balakan Chaudhary, he is a banrakasi in the truest sense. I borrowed some of his mannerisms and combined what was in the script to highlight the character and made Banrakasi. The show in flesh and blood,” Durgesh told IANS.
Panchayat will be back for more seasons

So far, we have been thinking about doing a fourth and a fifth season. The fourth season, we have a clear idea and it is broader An idea for the fifth season,” Mishra told news agency PTI.
