Do you like the horror genre? This Kajal Aggarwal starrer web series will send chills down your spine
Many horror films in the film industry leave people with fear and sleepless nights. If you are someone who likes this kind of content, there is one particular web series released in 2021 starring one of the most talented pan-Indian actors. The story of the film and the star cast won the critical acclaim and won the hearts of the audience.
The live telecast, written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, is a Tamil language horror thriller. It stars pan-Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal, Vaibhav, Anand, Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan, Danielle Annie Pope and Priyanka Nair. The movie is currently running on Disney plus Hotstar.
The live-action TV show takes place in 2005 and begins with the team attending a success party for the Dark Tales show, where the story introduces all the characters from the film.
This horror web series marked Venkat Prabhu’s OTT directorial debut. It’s about Jennifer Mathew, a selfish, TRP-hungry woman who is willing to use people’s prejudices to run her show and provide content to viewers. Jennifer and her production team try to get their show back to No. 1 by shooting a house where demonic activity has been felt by several people. However, things take a turn for the worse when they learn that the house is haunted and experience paranormal activity for the first time.
The web series features Kajal Aggarwal in a different role and shows her as a gray character with almost no moral compass. Generally, the actor portrays the role of a bubbly or lively character, but in this series, the director brings out his strong personality on screen where he is seen leading the team.
In an interview, the Singham actor once shared the excitement of participating in the show. According to him, as an actor, he should be very versatile. He believes that they can’t do much in films, but in web series there is a lot of talent exposure. He expressed his gratitude for working with Venkat Prabhu as he marked his OTT debut with a Live Telecast.
