Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s latest movie, Bade Miyan Chhote Miyancontinues to dominate at the box office even after suffering a sharp decline on its second day of release. The film collected Rs 900 crore on Sunday, taking its domestic gross to Rs 40.75 billion, according to industry tracker Saknilk. The makers of the film, which was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, also introduced a buy one get one offer on Sunday.

The film hit the box office on Thursday, coinciding with Eid festivities, earning Rs 15.65 billion on its opening. However, the next day’s box office performance was weak, dropping by 51 per cent on Friday to earn Rs 7.6 crore. Despite a slight increase over the weekend, collections remained in the single digits range. 8.5 billion on Friday. and Rs 900 crore on Sunday.

For Akshay and Tiger, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is important as they try to shake off a string of unsuccessful films. After a series of failures like Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan and Cuttputlli, Akshay achieved success with his OMG 2. However, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is yet to surpass the box office gross of his OMG 2, which collected Rs 5,517 crore within the same period. .

On the other hand, Tiger has also not released a hit film since 2022. His last few films ‘Ganapath’ and ‘Heropanti 2’ failed to generate any moolah at the box office. ‘Ganapath’, made on a budget of Rs 130 crore, grossed only Rs 15.5 crore, while ‘Heropanti 2’ also earned only Rs 350 crore and was declared a flop.

Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, which competes with Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan at the box office, has outperformed it in terms of revenue. Maidaan has accumulated only Rs 2,185 crore in his first four days since release.

Featuring a star-studded cast including Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar, Ronit Roy, Sonakshi Sinha and Prithviraj Sukhumaran, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is directed by acclaimed director Ali Abbas Zafar.
