Vidya Balan praises Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon crew for breaking the myth of ‘macho blockbusters’ | Hindi Film News

Vidya Balan has expressed support for the recently released film ‘Crew’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
Vidya Balan, who is busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’, praised Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon’s recently released film ‘Crew’ which is dominating the box office. The idea that all action-packed, masculine films are financially successful has also been debunked by Vidya.

Speaking at the inaugural session of The Indian Express, Vidya said: “Not all macho blockbusters are successful. I think we need to remember that. Here’s a movie that starred three women and it was a lot of fun. They I didn’t take it too seriously, and I’m thrilled that a film starring three women has been so successful at this age.”

The actress also spoke about how the perception of films starring women has changed in the film industry. she said: “It’s actually changing a lot. We’re really experiencing that change. It’s a great time. After the pandemic, people were a little bit conservative about female-led movies and things like that, so I’m a little worried. But obviously now is a good time.”

On the work front, Vidya Balan will next be seen in the film Do Aur Do Pyaar which is scheduled to release on April 19. The film also stars Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
