EXCLUSIVE: Tanishaa Mukherji calls Love You Shankar a ‘superhero film’: ‘It features India’s superhero Lord Shankar’.Neil N. Nikki also believes it should be re-released: ‘I never realized the impact it had on people’ : Bollywood News
The fascinating and witty Tanishaa Mukherji speaks exclusively. bollywood hungama Regarding her upcoming releases, Luv You Shankar. She also revealed why we don’t make many movies for kids and evoked memories as well.
What was your experience like playing a plain and simple character? Luv You Shankar?
First of all, I was really surprised at how easy it was. Since I was wearing no make-up, I had to get ready quickly (lol)! Just cover your under eyes and you’re ready to go. To be honest, I don’t think of roles as attractive or unattractive. I was excited to play the mother of a very grown child on screen. I think the lack of glamor is appealing because people see things they’ve never seen before. I don’t mean to shock people. But I like that my choices are such that people are surprised by everything I do. Because that’s what this world is about – shock, awe, and reinvent itself over and over again. And I want to do more with every character.
What was it like sharing screen space with child actor Man Gandhi? Were you able to bond with him?
Yes, because I loved the mother-son relationship that the director created. It was like a friendship. Also, I like children and get along well with them. I also think that when you interact with children, you have to be a child (lol). And who better to be a child than a mother? So it turned out to be a beautiful experience.
I believe you and Shreyas Talpade did a film together. chemistrydirected by Sai Kabir or revolver rani (2014) Fame…
truth. It was never released. I don’t know what happened. One day I was filming and the next day I wasn’t. It wasn’t even finished.
But it must have been easy since I already knew Shreyas Talpade…
Yes, definitely. Because of that movie, we’ve known each other for almost 10-15 years now.I think this photo was taken just a few years later. neil nikki (2005). In that movie, I had a glamorous avatar. So he was very surprised to see me wearing a character in a sari. Plus, a good actor always makes you feel very comfortable, and he did that.
Hollywood makes a lot of movies for kids. Few such attempts have been made in India. Ajay Devgn did it twice – Raju Chacha (2000) and Toonpur Ka Superhero (2010). Why do you think they don’t make more movies like that?
That’s one of the reasons we agreed to make this film. The director is Rajiv S. Ruia, who has produced many hit films. He obviously knows what kids like. I loved his early films, my friend ganesha (2007). Therefore, when he offered me Luv You Shankar, I was very excited. Hollywood understands that. They know what kids want to see and that’s why children’s movies are so successful. Not everyone in our country has that knowledge. So we’re hoping that the director knows what he’s doing in this movie because he’s gotten it right in the past. The reason people don’t make many children’s films (in India) is because they don’t know how to make successful films. Rajiv ji, on the other hand, has the ability to create another hit in this field.
There is also a trend of superheroes such as Iron Man and Superman, but even before that, there were superheroes like Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh. Therefore, in a sense, Luv You Shankar It’s a superhero movie!
Making movies for kids can also be an advantage, since most kids don’t go to the movie theater alone. Parents are also required to tag along, further increasing ticket sales…
I want the audience to see it Luv You Shankar This movie is meant to be a family experience, so bring your family along. Therefore, we plan to release it in multiple languages as well. It gives people a chance to reconnect with their families. Many claim that OTT has killed cinema. That’s not possible. OTT is primarily intended for personal experience. Therefore, there is a huge amount of content to cater to your individual needs. On the other hand, when we make a movie, the idea is to appeal to the whole family, so it’s got everything you’re looking for: action, drama, comedy. Unfortunately, we have forgotten the film industry’s culture of making movies for everyone. We have westernized the subject too much. Luv You Shankar There is a very Indian story. It also depicts India in a way I have never seen before. Therefore, I pray that people will participate. Firstly, because we have featured an Indian superhero, Lord Shankar, and secondly, because we have made a film that represents India.
Do you check the reaction on social media on the day of release?
(Laughs) To be honest, I don’t think so. Once a movie is released, you can’t control what happens. Therefore, there is no point in reading (people’s opinions). But I love seeing how people react in movie theaters. But that won’t happen this time, as I will be traveling when the movie is released.
your debut work Shhh… (2003) It celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Have you reached your 20th anniversary as an actor?
No, because I don’t appreciate time and I don’t believe in celebrating time. Therefore, I continue to move forward and continue to do great things. Actually, I don’t believe in the Roman calendar. Who decided that a year should have 365 days or that an hour should have 60 minutes? neil nikki It feels like it was yesterday.
Speaking of that neil nikki, you once stated that this was the most-watched movie ever online.Surprisingly, it didn’t work in theaters at that time
And now people tell me about (how much fun they had). Shreyas admitted that his friends were excited to work with me. neil nikki. I never knew that so many people would be so excited about my character and find me so great on screen.I was completely unaware of the effect neil nikki It was all about the people.
Perhaps in today’s day and age, this movie could have been done better. At the time, it was too novel or radical for moviegoers…
The manufacturer should re-release it. I think a lot of people will enjoy this movie because it opened up the world a lot.
Nineteen years ago, actors rarely played such bold roles on screen. Did it take a while to convince you?
No, I loved the idea of the movie and the characters. I felt like she was a pretty cool person. This is a girl who was looking for a guy to go to her ex-boyfriend, make him jealous, win him back, and then dump him. What she meant was, “How dare he abandon me.” I was like, “Wow!” This is truly a twisted mind. ” And I was going to play that twisted mind (laughs).
Another underrated movie you starred in is tango charlie (2005). This is an anti-war movie and a must-see, especially in today’s day and age. There were some catchy songs, “Bekarar kar ke.”…
It was the film that Ajay Devgn chose for me. I was offered a film and my character was paired with Bobby Deol’s character. I wasn’t confident, but Ajay told me to just shut up and do it! And I was like, “Okay, okay!”
Do you have any plans to direct or produce?
All my plans are hidden (lol). In order to shock and amaze people with my every move, I will not be known by the media. That’s the idea.
What’s next?
A Marathi movie will be released soon. A multilingual version will also be released.
