Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Farooq Makes Acting Debut With First Copy Of Web Series

On the occasion of the holiday, celebrities congratulated themselves on social networks and sent good wishes to their fans. Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Farooqui also threw a grand Eid for his loyal fans on Thursday. The stand-up comedian is all set to take his career to the next level this year. Munawar Farooqui took to his social media page to announce his acting debut in a web series titled First Copy. He also released the official teaser of the series which left the fans excited and excited.

The one-minute, forty-three-second teaser takes us back to 1999, when DVDs were a huge trend. Although movies are released on Fridays, many eagerly secure a “first copy” of the movie on DVD on Thursdays before the official release. Munawar Farooq impresses in the teaser where he portrays a gray character from the world of piracy. He shared the teaser and captioned it “Eid Mubarak”.

As soon as the teaser was released by First Copy, it went viral. The teaser of the first copy received a positive response from the netizens. Not only fans but celebrities also flooded the comments section praising Munawar’s acting skills and congratulating her for her new project.

Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Farooqui said about the first copy, “Over the years my fans have always stood by me and supported me in everything I have done. So this year I wanted to give them a special gift by announcing this project where they will see a new side of me. I’m excited to see how people react to it.”

The first copy of the web series, starring Munawar Farooq, is written and directed by Farhan P Zama. The series is produced by Kurji Productions and co-produced by Salt Media. The show’s release date and OTT platform are yet to be announced.

In April 2020, Munawar Farooqui uploaded a stand-up comedy video titled Dawood, Yamraaj & Aurat on his YouTube channel. In August 2020, he released his first song Jawab in collaboration with Indian musician Spectra. On February 28, 2021, he uploaded a stand-up comedy video titled Ghost Story to his YouTube channel. In 2022, she participated in Balaji Telefilms reality television show Lock Upp hosted by Kangana Ranaut. On May 8, 2022, Munavari was the winner of the show. The show aired on OTT platforms ALTBalaji and MX Player. In 2023, he became a contestant on the reality television show Bigg Boss 17 hosted by Salman Khan. On January 28, 2024, he was announced as the winner of the show.
