5 web series worth checking out
This week, Scott Wolf (party of five) hosts a dinner party to show off his new beard, a timely political satire debut, and Wolf’s Po5 Boss Amy Lipman is writing a new series about a daughter managing the emotions that come with watching her parents age. plus, Guild It’s finally back in all its glory with new episodes.
Sunday lunch… | In the debut episode, Wolff invites friends, family and the film crew over for Sunday dinner. Two things we learn from the reunion: Scott has a cute dog with a lizard-like tongue, and Kelly (Scott’s wife and ex real world cast member) was almost an hour late for their first date. Everything seems to have worked out well as she is pregnant with her second child.
Ruth and Erica | Lipman writes and directs this series about a daughter’s (Maura Tierney) struggle to care for her aging parents. Stephen Weber (brothers and sisters), Lois Smith (Real blood), Philip Baker Hall (A modern family), Michael C. Hall (Dexter) is also an asterisk. It’s great to have Lippmann back!
ground game | Gavin, the campaign director for a Des Moines mayoral candidate, works hard to support his well-meaning but seriously awkward boss. The Iowa candidate is played by Randall Park, aka Asian Jim Halpert from last week’s episode. Office.
Guild (Season 6) | Season six opens with Codex (Felicia Day) landing her dream job as a creative assistant. In this. Even though he has the support of the guild, all the shoulder pads in the world couldn’t protect him from his determined, maniacal boss.
