Ankita Lokhande to star in Sandeep Singh’s web series ‘Amrapali’

After ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, actress Ankita Lokhande is going to do web series ‘Amrapali’ in collaboration with filmmaker Sandeep Singh.
Ankita Lokhande roped in to portray Amrapali, the famous and charming ‘Nagarvadu’.
Taking to Instagram, Sandeep Singh shared the exciting news with his fans and captioned the post, “@lokhandeankita as #Amrapali, the epitome of strength, grace and resilience. This fascinating series explores the untold saga of a royal courtesan, revealing her journey filled with emotions and challenges. Stay tuned for this epic performance produced by @officiallegendstudios. The series marks the much awaited comeback of music maestro @ismaildarbarofficial.

The series follows her journey from being an imperial courtesan to becoming a Buddhist nun. It depicts the whole spectrum of emotions and vicissitudes experienced by Amrapali, who finally renounces all luxury and embraces celibacy like a Buddhist devotee.
Filmmaker Sandeep Singh said, “Amrapali was known for her beauty and grace and was one of the most powerful characters in Indian history. I couldn’t see anyone but Ankita Lokhande who surprised everyone with her spectacular performance in my film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’. She is suitable for this role as she has all the attributes of a charming princess and Nagarvadu as she is also a great dancer. Ankita perfectly emotes with her eyes, capturing the essence of Amrapali.”
