The heist comedy directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan and starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon has gotten off to a strong start. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 8.75 billion at the domestic box office on its first day of release.

With an opening day box office collection of Rs 8.75 billion, the comedy led by three female stars has shown promise, but Kareena Kapoor’s last chick flick ‘Veere’ co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. It’s not as good as “Dee Wedding.” Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and starring Sonam Kapoor and others, the 2018 film grossed a whopping Rs 10.7 crore on its opening day. However, it is worth noting that Veere Di Wedding was released a few years before the pandemic.



Considering the overwhelmingly positive word of mouth, lack of competition from new Bollywood releases, and the holiday factor, Crew is expected to see a surge in collections on its second day Saturday.

The Crew revolves around the lives of three women working in the aviation industry and promises a story full of laughs amidst the challenges airlines face. But their journey takes an unexpected turn, leading them into a tangle of deceptions and unexpected situations.

In addition to the leading female trio, the crew features an excellent cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, known for his work in Lootcase, the film promises to deliver entertaining performances from the star-studded ensemble.
