Nitya Mehra Big girls don’t cry follows the journey of a group of young girls who live in a boarding school. So when we sat down with the cast about the show and everything it stands for, we got some pretty interesting answers.
Annette Pada: “As an actor, it’s much more enjoyable to do this”
On going from commercials to working on a series, “I mean, it’s very different in a commercial, the way you’re going to be in and out of it. But then, of course, you have the long format. And a real character to work with (I don’t really consider myself an actor in commercials) . something that you can sit down with. For example, when I sit down to portray a character, it goes crazy in my head. There are a million different ideas I have to work with. As an actor, it’s much more satisfying to do that. So it’s different. As an actor, it gives me satisfaction and satisfaction .”
Dalai: “Be indomitable and confident in knowing yourself and your limits”
on life lessons BGDC Taught her: “I think what I’ve learned is to own my space. I think that’s what Nitya does really, really well and very naturally and organically. I remember when we first worked together. Made in HeaveN, that’s something everyone who’s worked with him will notice is that he enters the space and without having to assert himself without being loud or loud. Being loud isn’t a problem, but he just comes into the space and owns it because he’s so comfortable in himself. So I think together big girls…, it’s his story, it’s such an integral part of him that was something woven into every character, every scene, and every moment of the series. I think going through it, it’s really about owning your space, being completely unapologetic about it and being confident in knowing yourself and knowing your limits.”
Lakila: “Bollywood has changed for people like me”
About the people of Northeast India and Nepal who are portrayed in the Hindi film industry, “No (redacted)? Well, I’m here.
everyone: Yes!
Pooja Bhatt gushes, “Well, I can say that I broke that norm in 2002 when I cast Vudita Goswami in Paap. And not just because of her looks, but because of the length of her hair. She was short. I didn’t put a wig on her, you know. And the camera just loves her (Lakiyla). I was just taking pictures of her in between and she’s just gorgeous.”
Dalai adds, “I think it’s also really cool that with the casting and Nithya, they really took the time to go to Nepal and find someone who is actually the ethnicity of the character.”
Vidushi: “I am a person who shares bonds with everyone”
about his best friend BGDC“Without being diplomatic, I think I’m a person who bonds very beautifully. So it can’t be compared. The bond I share with Aprah and the bond I share with Lakiyla is very different and very unique in its own way. And not only girls, but these two wonderful women.”
Voiced by Pooja Bhatt and Nithya Mehra: So it can’t be ki yeh bestfriend hai and yeh nahi hai. But yes, I can really dig into it kiske saath kya kya hai and then you will realize that yes, it makes sense. But haan ek ko toh nahi choose kar sakti hu.
Afrah: “I try to put the phone as far away as possible”
On how she tries to live more in the real world away from her phone, “I try to put my phone away as much as possible. But it’s the only way I can connect with my friends because we all live in different cities and countries. Especially since BGDC We had to keep in touch only through our phones. Unfortunately, thanks to these girls, I became even more addicted to my phone!
Avantika Vandanapu Caller: I must say that Aprah is also one of the best listeners I have ever met. I’ve often met people who are so engrossed in their phones that they lose focus and it has one of the longest attention spans. Many times a day we looked after him for hours and he listened to all of us.
Akshita: “I want to continue to find more creative outlets. passion or nothing”
On juggling multiple hats at a young age, “I think for me personally, as a creative person, you try to find as many ways as possible to express yourself. I started by having my own clothing brand, drawing. Things and then I started doing CGI effects and 3D animation, but Growing up I was always on stage, I’ve been a ballet dancer for 11 years and just being on stage and connecting with people has always appealed to me. So when the opportunity came to move into acting it was a very natural transition for me and I really enjoy it and want to continue to find more creative outlets. For example, Why stop here. Lust or nothing.”
