Divya Dutta recently opened up about being objectified in her life and facing rejection from filmmakers. She also revealed how she was sent back from a film set she had previously attended. It made her feel like there was no humanity in this industry.

While talking to Lallantop, Divya shared how she gradually learned that humans can face rejection and be kicked out of films. The topic of nepotism is replaced by a certain favoritism that exists even with outsiders. Because the stakes are high in this field, not just in movies but everywhere, this kind of favoritism is rampant, and things almost always seem unfair. “I still feel like I deserve something, so why did someone else get it?” exclaimed Divya.

She further stated that she spent many days going from house to house in search of roles. Throughout her life, she was trained to deal with rejection. When she didn’t have any film work, she would often go to each producer’s office and ask for roles. It was around this time that multi-stars began to emerge as a trend. It should be an opportunity for everyone. However, unfortunately, she later realized that she did not fit into that typical attractive heroine. “I was a pretty girl and a good actor, but I was the only one who knew that. One day I felt like I had signed 22 films and some of them gave me tokens. No one said no. I later found out that of the 22 movies I told my mom I was going to do, only two made it to the floor, and I didn’t watch them. “I wasn’t the heroine of the movie,” she said.
Divya recalled a moment when she felt objectified. After she was dropped from many movies, she decided to visit one of the sets, but she was turned away, saying that she had lost a lot of weight. She felt irritated and objectified. “I started looking for humanity and realized that there is no humanity in this business. If I had done that film with Shah Rukh Khan, I would have become a superstar. I remember telling my mother, “I’m deaf.” Her mother immediately consoled her that those people would come back to work with her in the future, and that happened.

Divya is currently gearing up for her next film ‘Chhava’ with Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandana.
