A film in which Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan go wild. Exceeded 50 billion rupees
Initial estimates for 3rd day of Shaitaan box office collection: Ajay Devgn, horror film based on R. Madhavan’s Tantra crosses Rs 500 crore mark
Shaitan has wowed audiences across India. The film, which has black magic as its central theme, struck a chord with the desi audience. As we know, Desi believes in mysticism and the concept of nazar/black magic, so this movie found its supporters. Sunday’s collection is also great. Many circuits in central India, north India, and even West Bengal and Orissa have sold out. The film crossed the Rs 50 million mark with a net box office collection of over Rs 170 crore in India on Sunday. Although Shaitan doesn’t have many horror elements, the story is quite engaging.

Shaitan aiming for a big hit
Shaitan has fared much better than Fighter at the Indian box office. To be declared a hit, a film needs to earn between Rs 165 and Rs 175 at the box office. Shaitan has the advantage of not conceding a point until Yoda comes to the theater. Many feel that the weekend box office collection may be Rs 5.50 crore.
