Hollywood Takeover: China’s Control of the Film Industry is an important documentary on Epoch TV. The pinnacle of Fenton and DMG’s collaboration with China was the hit films LOOPER and IRON MAN 3. Fenton says the content in both films was changed to make China look good. He adds that for IRON MAN 3, DMG, Marvel Studios and Disney wrote things for the film’s star, Robert Downey Jr., to say when he visited China to promote the film. For example, one clip of the visit shows Downey praising China’s “system” of government, which, as everyone knows, is a communist tyranny run by the Chinese Communist Party.

Fenton says that, at the time, he believed that positive relations between Hollywood film companies like DMG and China would “spread the kind of aspirational democracy into a communist country, and perhaps one day change it into a democracy like ours.” Instead, he (and others) found that the Chinese Communist Party used its economic influence to benefit the party’s long-term designs to undermine America and establish global hegemony. “Hollywood Takeover” includes other examples of the Party’s influence on other film projects, including intimidating Hollywood studios and film financiers away from projects critical of Communist China. For example, documentary filmmaker Kay Robacek says her documentary Finding Courage had difficulty getting distribution. Also, actor and director Nick Searcy says he had to postpone one of his film projects because people who could finance the film were afraid it would be canceled in China and around the world by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) if they helped finance that film. Tiffany interviews some of the people who appear in HOLLYWOOD TAKEOVER. She says the Chinese Communist Party has infiltrated not only movies but every aspect of life, changing the way people view reality and the world, including the way they view China and America.

Actor Kevin Sorbo and his wife, Sam, say the growing influence of Communist China in Hollywood and around the world has been frightening. Sam says parents need to homeschool their children so they can make sure their children know the truth about American history and can stand up for the values that made America a beacon of freedom.

HOLLYWOOD TAKEOVER is a riveting film that exposes the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to use the American entertainment industry to undermine America, subvert freedom, and establish global hegemony. However, it also shows that some people in the entertainment industry, in the media, in China, and in America are starting to fight back. For example, some people in Congress are trying to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s penetration of the media, including Hollywood and social media. Also, the makers of the hit film TOP GUN: MAVERICK refused to remove the Taiwanese flag from the back of the main character’s famous aviator jacket, so the Chinese Communist Party banned the film in China.
