Awards season is about to reach its climax with the 2024 Academy Awards.
The final round of films, actors and directors competing for awards will compete on Sunday (March 10), with… Oppenheimerpoor things And Barbie Leading his score.
As always, there has been the usual criticism leading to outrage among film fans, but the ceremony will bring together an exciting mix of nominees including Emma Stone (Bad things), Lily Gladstone (Moonflower Killers) and director Christopher Nolan, who is widely expected to win his first ever Academy Award Oppenheimer.
The Oscars, which are broadcast in the UK on ITV, will once again be hosted by giant of the night Jimmy Kimmel. This will be his fourth year presenting the film awards.
Meanwhile, viewers can also expect appearances from Mahershala Ali, Nicolas Cage, Michelle Yeoh, Ki Hui Kwan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brendan Fraser, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya, all of whom will be handing out awards throughout the evening.
