Kristen Stewart is ‘tired’ of seeing ‘normal’ sex scenes

Kristen Stewart shares her thoughts on sex scenes in Hollywood movies and why she wanted to bring something different to her new film, Love lies bleeding.
The actress said NBC NewsShe said in an interview published online on Wednesday that she feels that most intimate scenes in films are unrealistic and seem almost mechanical.
“The usual sex simulation, like just simulating sex, is so routine, it’s like the actors have this default thing where, like, ‘Okay, we’re supposed to go do this and have sex now,’” Stewart said. “This is not how people have sex, and I’m tired of seeing that.”
the twilight The Rose Glass alum explained that Love lies bleedingin which she plays Lou opposite Katy O’Brian’s Jackie, wanted to replace an intimacy that was “literal, not fake.”
“Mastering the details and talking about the physical experience more than just seeing it, like expressing it verbally, talking to each other, sharing the space, like not breaking it up into a ton of different shots, it was like… It’s a beautiful thing,” Stewart said. To provide an experience that was literal and not fake.”
O’Brien added: “If anyone takes anything away from this movie, it’s to ask your partner what they like. You don’t see that in the movie.”
Elsewhere in the interview, O’Brien also noted that they worked with an intimacy coordinator during filming and that she was also excited to finally be “doing something real, that feels more real.”
The thriller follows Lou, a reclusive gym manager, who falls in love with Jackie, an aspiring bodybuilder who is passing through town on his way to compete in Las Vegas. But their relationship leads to violence as they become integrated into the Lu crime family.
Stewart added that she was drawn to the project because its depiction of the dark side of love caught her attention.
“There is no fixed definition of love” Loved Me The actress said. “It is a way to justify any decision one might make rashly.”
