Salman Khan made his Hindi debut as a hero in the film ‘Main Pyar Kiya’ directed by Sooraj Barjatiya. Salman had given a blockbuster hit with Sooraj Barjatya in the past and they were planning to team up again.

More specifically, Sooraj Barjatya has prepared a script titled ‘Prem Ki Shaadi’ for Salman Khan. After hearing the script, Salman felt he was too old to play the young groom and he stepped down from the film.

Now, the latest update is that Sooraj Barjatya has approached Shahid Kapoor for the lead role and the latter has given the green light. Several changes have been made to suit Shahid’s image and the shooting is expected to begin soon.
