Rita Moreno was inspired for the role by her real-life experiences with Hollywood “prostitutes.” the joke.

The non-senior EGOT winner went down the view on Monday to promote the upcoming comedy, in which she plays an evil teacher accused of murder by two of her students after she threatens to fail the entire class.

“This is the best part I’ve had in years,” Moreno told members of the show’s panel. “It’s funny. It’s really a little cult film.

While talking about how she exploited this role, the actress did not hold back. “Let me tell you what I did: I just thought, ‘How am I going to play this horrible person?’ I thought about all the women in my life — especially in show business — who have been horrible to me — all these bitches,” Moreno said.

When co-host Ana Navarro asked the actress to write down the names, Moreno quipped: “Too many, unfortunately.”

“I said to myself, ‘I thought I was going to use all the things they did with me and my little Puerto Rican past,’ and that’s what I’m doing,” she continued. “And boy was it such fun! I’d finish a take and go, like that, like that!”

Moreno also shared that she chose the hair and wardrobe for her character Mrs. Wheeler. “I had this terrible haircut, with really short bangs,” she said. “All the clothes we got from Goodwill. I said, ‘I don’t want her to wear good clothes. She’s mean in spirit and mean in every way.’
