Released alongside Vidyut Jammwal’s Crakk, Article 370 has maintained an edge over its competitors since its release. While Mr. Kulak accumulated Rs 11.5 billion, Article 370 fetched more than that at Rs 32.5 billion. It is expected to remain on top for another week as it faces stiff competition from Ajay Devgn’s horror drama ‘Shaitan’ which is scheduled to hit theaters on March 8.
Article 370, co-authored by Yami Gautam’s husband Aditya Dar, delves into the Prime Minister’s decision to revoke the special status accorded to Jammu and Kashmir. The film has sparked controversy, with some labeling it propaganda.
In a recent interview with News18, Priyamani brought up the same, saying, “Some people will say, ‘Oh, this is raising awareness.'” People need to know these stories. ” And there’s always a section that says, “This is totally propaganda.” When we took on this film or decided we wanted to be a part of this film, the main reason was to tell people, “Listen, there’s something like this that goes down in history, and there aren’t that many people.” I think that’s what I wanted to convey. Please know about it. ” I think people knew that, but I didn’t know what people went through and what steps were taken to make this mission a success. ”
