New Delhi: Actor Jyothika on Thursday said she is excited to be making a comeback to Hindi films after over two decades with ‘Shaitaan’.

The southern star made her acting debut in the 1998 Hindi film ‘Doli Saja Ke Rakhna’ and went on to become one of the most loved female actors in Tamil cinema.

Some of her notable performances include ‘Chandramukhi’, ‘Raatchashi’, ‘Kushi’, ’36 Vayathinile’ and ‘Kaathal – The Core’.

‘Shaitan’ is a supernatural thriller directed by Vikas Bahl and starring Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan. The film is described as a gripping story that takes viewers on a sinister journey with elements of black magic.

The actor said he is waiting for a “special” opportunity to do a film in Hindi.

“I’m doing this movie for the first time in 25 years. I’ve been so busy down south…(I was) waiting for something special. At this stage in my career, I want to do something different. I think, “This was very challenging,” she said.

Jyothika praised her co-star Devgn as a “very dedicated” person.
