Kunal Kemmu sparked a debate over the portrayal of alpha male heroes in Bollywood films, expressing uncertainty as to whether viewers should take such portrayals seriously. In a recent interview on Raj Shermani’s YouTube channel, Kunal glorified characters like Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s films, Kabir Singh’s films starring Shahid Kapoor and Animal films starring Ranbir Kapoor. questioned the social impact of doing so.

Talking about portraying the alpha male protagonist, Kunal says, “Isko sahi galat bol ke faida nahi hai, kyuki aap ek, human tendencies, characteristics, ki baat ka rahe ho…aap. – Samajdar ho, aap ka lo try. Aapko aisa banda chahie? Jab,” he said. Teen ding aapko thappad padenge, short ding aap boroge ki main police ko phon ka dungi.usko bi samaj a jayega aapko bi samaji ajaiga ( There’s no point in saying right or wrong. You’re smart, try it. You want something like that) “Are you a guy? If he slaps you for three days, then four. On the next day you will file a complaint with the police and you will know which deal it is).”

“Become an Alpha in the true sense of the word. It’s very easy to sit here today and say, ‘I want to be a hand-picked Alpha.’ Do everything. Or, if you want to make a choice, live your life. Let’s see where it goes. You either go to jail or get beaten up… Acchi picturein dekh ke, Munnabhai 2 dekh ke Gandhiiri bhi sikh lo (Let’s look at good pictures like Munnabhai 2 and learn non-violence)!” Added.
