Push Button Studios, the production company founded by actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, is excited to announce their maiden production. Girls Will Be Girlshas been selected for the prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival. SXSW, one of the world’s most famous film festivals, will be held in Austin, Texas from March 8th to 17th, 2024.

Girls Will Be Girls After receiving critical acclaim at its world premiere at Sundance, it will be screened in the “Festival Favorites” section. The film, directed by Shuchi Talati, has been hailed as one of the most compelling coming-of-age stories to come out of India in recent years. Girls Will Be Girls It won two important awards at Sundance. Audience Choice Award for Best Picture and Special Jury Award for Leading Actor Preeti Panigrahi’s Outstanding Performance. The film was also included in the 2024 Sundance Best Films list curated by Vulture, Variety, and Vogue.

The plot revolves around a 16-year-old girl navigating the challenges of adolescence within the confines of a boarding school. The cast includes Kani She Kusruti, Jiting Rati, Preethi Panigrahi and Kesabino Kiron in important roles.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who co-produced the film under their Pushing Buttons Studios in collaboration with Blink Digital and Dolce Vita Films, further expanded their wings with the film’s selection at SXSW.
