Lee Jae Wook fans who fell in love with the Korean actor can now breathe a sigh of relief as their favorite leading man is back with a brand new series, The Impossible Heir. This revenge drama series, which is slated to launch on the digital platform, may also be known by some as Royal Loader (literal translation of the Korean title). The upcoming Kdrama will be centered around the solemn theme of the race for success.
Directed by Min Yeon Hong and written by Choi Won, the new title will again focus on survival against the harsh standards of the social hierarchy as one strives for upward mobility. Here’s everything we know about the series coming out this February.

The Impossible Heir release date
Impossible Heir Episode 1 will be released on Disney+ on February 28, 2024. It remains to be seen if the entire season will hit the streaming platform on the same day. Disney+ Kdrama typically premieres two episodes weekly.
The number of episodes of the Lee Jae Wook drama has not been revealed either. The last few releases (Shop for Assassins and Vigilante) have followed a consistent pattern of eight episodes per season. However, The Worst of Evil and Moving are the exceptions with 8 episode+ runs.

The Impossible Heir actress
The leading titular trio includes Lee Jae Wook, Lee Joon Young and Hong Soo Joo. The upcoming series will also include Han Sang Jin, Choi Jin Ho, Kim Ho Jung, and Lee Ji Hoon as supporting actors.
Lee Jae Wook is a famous Korean actor who has now gained a steady international fan base from his previous works such as Search: WWW and Extraordinary You. However, he became a household name after hosting two seasons of the fantasy period drama Alchemy of Souls. He was last seen in an extended cameo on Death’s Game. Along with The Impossible Heir, he is also set to play the male lead in the upcoming 2024 Netflix series Hong Rang.
Lee Joon Young is a singer-actor who made his acting debut in the 2017 drama series Avengers Social Club. He can also be recognized from the 2018 series Goodbye to Goodbye and the 2019 drama Class of Lies.
Rookie actress Hong Su-Zu also has a birthday today. He made his acting debut in 2020 in Lovestruck in the City. She guest-starred on Sweet Home in Season 2 and is now set to take on her first starring role in a new Disney+ series.
Impossible heir drama plot
Lee Joon Young plays Kang In Ha, the illegitimate son of a conglomerate owner who has lived in poverty all this time. As an illegitimate heir, his family constantly reminds him that he is not one of them.
Finally tired of being treated like dirt, he enlists the help of an ambitious childhood friend dubbed the “Son of a Murderer.” Together, Kang In Ha and Lee Jae Wook’s Han Tae Oh embark on a journey to the top of the social chain, with plans to take over the company’s operations and take what was always meant to be theirs.
