Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are sharing screen space in the Indian adaptation of the American series Citadel. As fans wait for updates on the web show, The Family Man actor recently shared a photo featuring Varun, the show’s directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK along with writer Sita R Menon.
The pictures posted by Samantha show her touring the Citadel with the project team. Samantha sports a stylish black jacket, complemented by a stylish hat and jeans, while Varun exudes casual cool in a white shirt with jeans. Alongside the pictures, Samantha wrote, “Finally got to watch something… and we look alike (with heart eye emoji).” The post was accompanied by the song ‘Auva Auva Koi Yahan Nache’.

Citadel boasts a star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sikandar Kher and Emma Canning in lead roles. The series was filmed in Serbia and India. Samantha ended her run on the show before announcing a hiatus from acting to focus on her health. He was diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune condition caused by muscle inflammation.
The original American web show Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, received mixed reviews and modest audience response. According to reports, the production cost of the series was 250 million dollars (more than 2000 million GEL). It was financed by the Russo brothers, known for directing four Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
