SNL 1975 Cast Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd – The Hollywood Reporter

Lamorne Morris and Dylan O’Brien are among those set to play original roles Saturday Night Live Cast members of Jason Reitman’s film Snell 1975 About the first night of the great comedy series.

Morris is set to portray Garrett Morris, while O’Brien gets the role of Dan Aykroyd. Additionally, Corey Michael Smith will play Chevy Chase in the film, while Matt Wood joins the cast as John Belushi.

Reitman is directing the film for Sony Pictures from a script he co-wrote with Gil Kenan. Based on interviews conducted by the screenwriters with the show’s live-action cast, writers and crew, the film is set to focus on the formative moment in October 1975 for the NBC sketch show currently airing its 49th season.

Previously announced cast members for the film include Gabrielle LaBelle (Fabelmans) like SNL Creator Lorne Michaels, Cooper Hoffman (Licorice pizza(as former NBC executives Dick Ebersol and Rachel Sinnott)Bottoms) as Michaels’ ex-wife, Rosie Schuster.

As for the other opening players, Ella Hunt will play Gilda Radner, Emily Fern Laraine Newman has been cast, and Kim Matula is set to play Jane Curtin.

Snell 1975 Reitman, Keenan, Jason Blumenfeld, Erica Mills and Peter Rice serve as producers.

O’Brien’s recent work includes film PonyboyWhich debuted at the Sundance Film Festival this month. Lamorne Morris recently appeared in Season 5 of the series Fargo. Smith is known for his roles in May December And Transatlantic. Wood was part of the original Broadway cast of the musical Spongebob Square Pants.
