CAA evacuates building due to security threat – The Hollywood Reporter

Staff at CAA headquarters in Century City were forced to evacuate on Thursday due to a security threat, sources said Hollywood Reporter.

Agents and employees were instructed to leave the offices at 2000 Avenue of the Stars in Century City for an evacuation done out of “an abundance of caution,” according to a memo sent to employees, while the threat was investigated. Sources indicate that SWAT officers were present at the building, as well as at least one bomb-sniffing dog.

All employees have exited the building. Offices will reopen on Friday.

“CAA Global Safety & Security has confirmed that CAA’s Los Angeles offices have received a security threat,” read a memo to staff. He continued: “Your safety is our top priority. While the threat is being investigated for credibility, out of an abundance of caution, we have closed our Los Angeles offices. Please return home and encourage people who are able to use the stairs to do so as there may be crowding in the lifts.
