New ‘Jurassic World’ movie in the works at Universal – The Hollywood Reporter

Although it has been two years since dinosaurs last roamed the Earth in 2022 Take control of Jurassic WorldUniversal Pictures has barely kept its biggest franchise contained in amber.
The studio is engaged in the development of everything new Jurassic World The film has David Koepp back at the keyboard. Koepp was the writer of the 1993 original Jurassic Park(film) directed by Steven Spielberg, and its sequel in 1997 Jurassic Park: The Lost World.
The project, which was flying under the radar, has come a long way, and the script is in such likable shape, that the studio is whispering about a possible release date in 2025.
There is no director on board, but Frank Marshall, the veteran and famous producer, oversaw the film Jurassic World Trilogy, is back in production, as are the others Jurassic Veterinarian, Patrick Crowley. Spielberg will executive produce via his Amblin Entertainment banner.
It is unclear what form the relaunch will take. It is known that it will launch a “new Jurassic era”, according to sources, with a completely new story. This seems to rule out the return of the characters he played Jurassic World Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. The characters appear to be featured in the original Jurassic Park Films starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will not participate.
The fact that it’s called the new “Jurassic World” instead of “Jurassic Park” may also be telling. This would indicate that the franchise likely won’t take a back-to-basics approach but may move into parts unknown (Jurassic Space? Just throwing it out there).

He also wrote Steven Soderbergh’s Upside Down Ghost Story PresenceWhich premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday. Koepp and Soderbergh also have a hot project on the market titled Black bag Which generates intense interest from buyers.
