Web Series Review: Indian Police Force: Bollywood News

He lives as a paying guest in the house of mechanic Syed (Lalit Parimou), who is also a terrorist. Saeed’s mother and daughter Nafeesa (Vaidehi Parshuram) have no idea of their involvement. Nafeesa assumes that Zarar is a perfume seller and falls in love with him. At the same time, Zarar is planning his next operation to get the handlers out of Delhi. When one of the tutors calls home, Kabir’s team discovers their location. They attacked the safe house. All but one of the tutors die, but Zarari escapes. Meanwhile, Kabir’s team loses a brave cop. Kabir has been transferred. On the other hand, Zarar reaches Jaipur to carry out another round of terrorist attack. What happens next sets up the rest of the series.

Web Series Review: Indian Police Force

The story of Sandeep Saket and Anusha Nandkumar is well researched. The screenplay by Sandeep Saket and Anusha Nandkumar is also interesting. A few scenes stand out, mostly because of the action. Dialogues by Sandeep Saket, Anusha Nandkumar, Ayush Trivedi, Vidhi Ghodgaonkar and Sanchit Bedre are okay but few of them are sharp.

Rohit Shetty and Sushwant Prakash’s direction is decent. The directors have tried their best to increase the mass quotient and equal scale of the show. All the locations are grandly depicted as if it is a big screen movie. They ensure that the audience is interested and invested in the cat-and-mouse chase between the cops and the dreaded terrorists that spans several cities. A few scenes stand out like Vikram holding a live bomb, the frenzy at Firoz Nagar, Jaydeep Bansal (Mukesh Rishi) advising Kabir and Vikram to break the rules, the death of a policeman, the police scuffle with Goldie. Rodriguez (Sunil Rodriguez) and his men in Goa, etc. The last two episodes are the best.

On the other hand, the series doesn’t feature anything we haven’t seen before in Rohit Shetty’s venture. There are no cameos or cameos from any of the cop universe characters. The action scenes also give a sense of what was done there. Moreover, the main characters do not have particularly entertaining characteristics.

Siddharth Malhotra looks convincing as the action hero. Vivek Oberoi looks and acts well. Unfortunately, his screen time is limited. Shilpa Shetty Kundra too has less screen time but makes up for it with her acting and stunts. Mayyank Taandon is good as the antagonist. The best performer of the show is Vaidehi Parshuram. His character is well written and he does justice to it. Shruti Panwar (Unaiza) leaves a mark. Mukesh Rishi, Niktin Dher, Lalit Parimoo, Rituraj Singh (Rafek), Karanvir Malhotra (Siku), Rakshit Wah (Moin) and Purnendu Bhattacharya (Home Minister) lend strong support. Isha Talwar (Rashmi) is cute in a cameo. Shweta Tiwari (Shruti) is great in the crash scene but forgettable after the score. Mrinal Kulkarni (Ruxana; Kabir’s mother) is absolutely fine. Mohawk Meet (Shadab), Sunil Rodriguez, Akashdeep Sabir (Mudasari; Zarar’s father), Deepak Kazir (Khan Sahab) and Harsh Sharma (Salamat) do justice in small roles. Sharad Kelkar (Jagtap) is flat.

There are 3 songs in the movie. The ‘IPF theme’ is very attractive. “Bairia Re” and “Koi Ayati” Forgettable but beautifully shot by Sneha Shetty Kohli. Amar Mohile’s background score tries to heighten the tension and mass appeal.

The cinematography by Girish Kant and Raza Hussain Mehta is spectacular. Aerial shots add a nice touch. Production design by Swapnil Bhalerao and Madhur Madhavan is on point. The costumes by Navin Shetty, Mehek Navin Shetty and Laxman Gollar are realistic and attractive. Sunil Rodriguez’s action and Rohit Shetty’s action design is devoid of blood and gore. NY VFXWaala’s VFX is average. Bunty Nagi’s editing is pacy.

All in all, INDIAN POLICE FORCE has the trademark Rohit Shetty stamp all over the world. Due to Rohit Shetty’s action and multiplicity of association, it is sure to garner a huge viewership.
