Julia Roberts says she chose not to take off her clothes for movies in Hollywood
Los Angeles: Actress Julia Roberts, who has starred in many blockbuster films, said she chose not to take off clothes or take on sexy roles during her decades-long career in Hollywood. During a new cover story for British Vogue, published on Thursday, the 56-year-old actress revealed why, adding that she wants a “G-rated” career.
“You know, not criticizing other people’s choices, but for me to not take off my clothes in a movie or be vulnerable in physical ways is a choice that I think I made for myself,” she explained. “But in reality, I’m choosing not to do something rather than choosing to do something.”
The actress also revealed that she may have inherited her firm stance on feminism from her distant cousin Gloria Steinem. However, the actor admitted that the industry has completely changed nowadays and it looks completely different.
“I don’t know if it’s better, because it’s not my experience, but it feels very different,” she explained. And somehow, it seems very chaotic. There are a lot of elements that make being famous now stressful. “There’s more stuff, there’s more noise, there’s more outlets, there’s more stuff,” she continued.
