Actress Sharmeen Zoha Shosh, who is known for her roles in both dramas and films, has recently excelled more in TV dramas than films. However, he is going to appear in front of the audience in a different role. Historically, foreign serials have been dubbed in Bengali and aired on various television channels in the country. But for the first time, Sharmeen Zoha Shoshi gave her voice for dubbing a foreign serial in Bengali.
South Korean series ‘Reply 1988’ (Amader shomoy) has been dubbed into Bengali under the banner of SRK Studios. The Bengali version of the series will air on OTT platform Bioscope in January. This series, written by Lee Woo-jung and produced by Sin Woo-jung, features the dubbing of Sharmeen Zoha Shosh as the voice of the main character’s boss, Dak Son.
During the dubbing process for the series, Sharmeen Zoha Shoshi noted, “While dubbing in Bengali, I thought the title ‘Reply 1988 (Amader shomoy)’ could encompass anything from love and affection to friendship.”
Khalid Hossein Avi, dubbing producer of Reply 1988 (Amader shomoy) said, “Of all the foreign productions I’ve worked on in my 8-year career, this production holds a special place in my heart. It perfectly captures the essence of the nineties.”
When asked about the web series, Sharmeen Zoha Shoshi explained, “The series explores the tight family dynamics of the nineties. It revolves around five friends who grew up on the same street and their families. The original director meticulously captures the intricate details of life, from which I felt a sense of responsibility. Therefore, I didn’t just decide to dub this series; I aimed to decorate it like 10 other dramas and movies of our country. I tried to make it appear as the origin of our country. This was the biggest challenge for me. I am thankful to Allah and my producer Shiplu Rahman Khan for trusting me with this production.
The series also stars Ayesha Khan (Junior Deok Sun), Yash Rohan (Sun Woo), Zakia Bari Momo (Big Bo Ra), Kazi Kaniz (Little Bo Ra), Abdun Noor Sajal (Senior Taek) and Samiul Jiban (Little So). ).
