Nolan’s wife and producer Emma Thomas says he “brings out the best in people”
Los Angeles, January 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) After Christopher Nolan won his first major award, the Golden Globe for Best Director, his wife, longtime business partner and “Oppenheimer” producer Emma Thomas noted in her speech at the glittering evening that it was good That her husband would finally be recognized.

Sunday marked his first Globes win, and although he has been nominated for an Oscar multiple times, the Oscars have eluded him.
“I’m so happy that Chris is being recognized, because I think what he does is unlike anything anyone else does,” Thomas said as Nolan and the actors stood behind her. “Chris brings out the best in people by being the best of the best.”
Cillian Murphy also won a Globe for his leading role as physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, and Robert Downey Jr. also took home a supporting actor award. Ludwig Göransson won for motion picture score.
The Hollywood Reporter says “Oppenheimer” significantly outperformed with $952 million worldwide — a staggering amount for an R-rated three-hour biopic that cost about $100 million to produce. Thomas thanked Universal president Donna Langley, who lured Nolan to the studio and greenlit the film.
“I don’t think it was by any means an intuitive idea,” Thomas of Langley said in his autobiography Gamble.
At the Globe Awards, “Oppenheimer” topped the list of the best films competing for dramas such as “Anatomy of a Fall,” “Moonflower Killers,” “Maestro,” “Past Lives,” and “Zone of Interest.”
The award was presented during an evening hosted by comedian Joe Koy, who chaired the ceremony, which was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and broadcast on CBS.
