3 key financial lessons investors can learn from movies hitting the big screen in 2024
It’s the year of sequels for both Bollywood and Hollywood. Of course there are gems that even discerning cinephiles will love. And yes, there are some shows that will blow your mind. These are the lessons to last all year long this week!
It’s all about the sequels and prequels
While you were watching donkey And Salar On the big screen, I was surfing the internet to see what this new year had in store for us. The range is mind-boggling. If Hollywood is counting on a sequel Despicable Me 4 (Get ready to spend money for your kids and your inner child on some great merchandise!) and Kung Fu Panda 4 (That panda is so adorable!) Bollywood will give you movie sequences that you loved no matter who was dressed as a police officer.
You guessed it! We will see the magic of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn on screen once again Singham again. Not to be left behind, there is a sequel in the Yash Raj Spy Universe titled Tiger vs Pathan. Indian audiences fill theaters to watch men in uniform beat up, shoot and kill ‘enemies’, and this year you will see your favorite star Hrithik Roshan and the woman who inspires a thousand sighs – Deepika Padukone – donning the uniform in the movie Fighter. Yoda will make Sidharth Malhotra strut his formal attire as well. I’m not about to discuss how every Mara Mara film has a formula that everyone can see within a short distance.
Why should I complain about another Spiderman Universe movie coming to the big screen? I would love to see a spin-off called Madame Web Release day! Plus, Joaquin Phoenix plays the iconic Joker once again “Joker: Folie a Deux”.
Because I want you, smart investor, to understand why Hollywood and Bollywood keep churning out sequels. The answer is simple: when something works, why don’t we get more of it?
The sequels stick to the formula used by the original film and tell a new story. Take Planet of the Apes as an example. Most of us were shocked to see how we would need to adapt to a world in which humans were not the dominant species. This year’s sequel: Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes promises more discoveries. As is the Oscar-winning sequel Inside Out 2. If your portfolio consists of a winning combination of well-performing stocks, why change the mix that makes your bank account thrive?Read also: 14 songs to track your financial journey in the new year 2024
Independent films that are “zara hatke”!
Let’s say you want more from your wallet than sequels. I also refuse when I see this list: Street 2, Drishyam 3, Aashiqui 3, Housefull 5, Bhole Bhulaya 3, De De Pyaar Di 2, Metro In Dino, Baaghi 4, Krrish 4, Pushpa 2, KGF 3, Hira Pheri 3, Son Sardar 2, Don 3 And more.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against sequels, but I’m happy to watch them Bhediya 2, Raid 2, and even tried out Sitare Zameen Par, Love, and Sex Aur Dhoka 2. But what inspires me are different films. Such as The Ballerina saga (which is a spin-off of John Wick) and the Lord of the Rings story called: War for the Rohirrim.
But I love the possibility of learning more about the famous Chicago Bike Riders Club Cyclists. It sounds like a great movie to watch John Krasinski direct Ryan Reynolds and himself in a movie about forgotten imaginary friends called if.
Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt arrive to catch your collective breath Scapegoat, a film about a stuntman who works as a bounty hunter. Then there’s a tribute to one of my favorite musicians of all time: Back to black Story about the life of Amy Winehouse. And last but not least, director Bong Joon Ho’s sci-fi film starring Robert Pattinson Mickey 17 Where RobPat plays the role of a disposable body – able to keep the memory of his previous versions intact – who is sent to explore dangerous new worlds!
Among the Indian films, you would love to know more about the coach who brought India into the world of football: a film starring Ajay Devgn called Field. John Abraham Tehran The Diplomat takes you to Iran and the world of political intrigue. Chava: A biopic of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s son Sambhajirao (starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna) would be interesting. Last but not least, I’m looking forward to it Diva Starring Shahid Kapoor. Although the film is a thriller that revolves around a police officer who exposes the deception, Shahid Kapoor upped his game with Farzi which released on Amazon Prime this year, so I am thrilled the actor is offering us something different here as well. I haven’t forgotten Merry Christmas By Sriram Raghavan. It brings together Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif with the always stunning Radhika Apte in a film about a Christmas love story gone wrong.
As a smart investor, you should look for interesting financial instruments that will help you make most of your money. Even something as simple as completing a risk assessment form to help you figure out what type of investor you are is something you can try.
