Director Rajkumar called Shah Rukh “brave” and said he had been enthusiastic about the film ever since he first heard about it. “When you make a film, you make it because you love the story, and Shah Rukh has been involved in the story from the beginning. From the moment I showed him the picture of the plane, he was very interested. He is a brave actor and every actor wants to try something different. He was doing action movies and didn’t want to continue doing that. He was very interesting and very interested in this story. I was satisfied,” he said.

The filmmaker also talked about how he had wanted to work with the actor for several years and Dhanki gave him a chance. Rajkumar said he had a lot of fun working with Shah Rukh, adding that he is a “great guy who showers love on everyone.”
