Dhanki has a slight advantage over Salah in advance bookings | Hindi Movie News

It’s never a good sight when two movies collide at the same time, but there are only 52 weeks in a year, so collisions are inevitable. This will be Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s first collaboration together. Danki and Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. “Dunki” was supposed to be a solo Christmas release, but Salar I ended up getting involved after I missed my originally scheduled date due to post-production issues.

‘We don’t want anything ugly,’ says ‘Salar’ producer Vijay Khilgandur on box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Danki’

All this while, both films were competing in the US market, where pre-orders began long before India, where Salar sold more than US$924,000 worth of tickets on the day of the premiere alone. There is no doubt that they have a big lead over Danki. On the other hand, Danki just made over 181,000 USD. But the battle is in full swing, and the stakes are rising by the day. In fact, King Khan recently met with distributors and exhibitors and asked them to program the show fairly.
Based on current numbers, Danki has a slight advantage over Salah. According to Sacnilk, Dunki has sold around 1,44,830 tickets so far, taking his total sales till date to Rs 4.46 crore. As of now, the Salar-directed film has sold 1,53,705 tickets, 8,875 more than the SRK-starrer, but the sales are around Rs 3,580 crore, which is Rs 88,000 crore less. This may also be due to the fact that there is a cap on ticket prices in southern India.
While SRK was in Dubai last night to promote Dhanki, Salar’s production house is gearing up to release the second trailer of the film today, just three days before the film’s release. It will be interesting to see what kind of journey these two works will take in the future.
