Miriam Shor joins The Hollywood Reporter staff

Miriam Shor is in early talks to become the latest to join James Gunn’s growing cast Superman: Legacy.

The Man of Steel feature is set to mark the start of DC Studios’ much-publicized slate when it hits theaters in July 2025, and has been rolling out aggressively since the end of the actors’ strike in November.

Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio and Sean Gunn are among those who have joined in recent weeks, with Nicholas Hoult, who will play villain Lex Luthor, officially announced after his deal was sealed by Gunn on Instagram Monday.

David Corenswet plays Clark Kent/Superman while Rachel Brosnahan plays intrepid reporter Lois Lane. Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced, and Nathan Fillion are also in the cast as heroes Metamorpho, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, respectively.

Details of Shor’s roles in the Fortress of Solitude are being kept secret. She’s one of Gunn’s alumni, playing a henchman known as Recorder Vim this summer Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

She has an enviable awards season ahead of her as she stars in both Artist, band leaderthe Leonard Bernstein biopic directed by Bradley Cooper from Netflix, and American fantasy, the satirical film by Cord Jefferson that won the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. She is repped by Gersh, Impression Entertainment and Schreck Rose.

An earlier version of this story stated that Pom Klementieff had been selected Superman: Legacy, but his initial posting, Gunn wrote in a post on Threads that this is not true. The post has been updated to remove references to Klementieff in the title, photo and story.
