Shooting for new movie ‘Vedaa’ | Kashmiri Bollywood star John Abraham
Srinagar, December 8: Bollywood superstar John Abraham arrived in Kashmir on Friday for the shooting of his new film ‘Veda’.
After the huge success of his previous film Pathaan, John Abraham has teamed up with Sharvari Wagh for director Nikkhil Advani’s upcoming film Vedaa.
Sharvari is known for her role in ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’.
Apart from the two lead actors, the film also stars Abhishek Banerjee.
Sources said the actor will reach Kashmir on Friday and other crew members will also join him.
“John Abraham arrived in Kashmir on Friday to shoot for his new film ‘Veda’. It is a four-day schedule for the film crew to shoot in Kashmir,” said a source with knowledge of the schedule.
The film will be shot in Srinagar and Pahalgam over a four-day schedule.
Directed by Nikkhil Advani and written by Aseem Arora, Vedaa is produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment and JA Entertainment.
This is John’s second collaboration with Nikkil after Batla House.
Vedaa is written by Aseem Arora and is scheduled to be released next year in 2024.
In the film, John is touted to play the role of a mentor who will guide and train Sharvari’s character.
Notably, many Bollywood producers have recently returned to Kashmir for filming, continuing their long-standing love for Kashmir and Bollywood.
In the past year, J&K has hosted over 200 shoots for films, web series and dramas.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan also shot a film in Kashmir this year.
The government has introduced a film policy to create suitable conditions for film crews.
The government has introduced single-window approval for firing in Jammu and Kashmir.
Known for its breathtaking scenery, Kashmir has a long history of film production, and until the 1990s, Indian producers often shot multiple films simultaneously.
An official said, “J&K offers the best locations for film shooting and the LG government has taken the initiative to come up with a new film policy, which has given many incentives and provided a single window system. ” he said.
