Shah Rukh talks about how his negative role affects society

Shah Rukh said that when a magazine conducted a national survey about his negative characters in movies, most of the respondents said that negative roles should be played by villains and that actors like Shah Rukh should play villains. I was told that this would have a “negative impact.”

Shah Rukh had played negative roles in films such as “Daar” released in 1993, “Baazigal” and “Anjaam” (1994), but these films glorified murder and torture. When asked about his presence, he denied the charges.

The actor recalled that women praised his roles in these films, children said his acting was good and even called him ‘Baajgar uncle’. When asked if he had ever thought about the negative impact his character would have on the safety of people, especially women, director Shah Rukh replied that he, like the rest of the staff, was only a “small part” of the film. “I have no intention of accepting it,” he said. I take full responsibility for this film. The actor further added that people are “intelligent enough” to not blindly copy characters.

Shah Rukh was last seen in ‘Jawan’ and before that, it was in 2023’s another blockbuster ‘Pattern’. The actor is currently preparing for the release of ‘Danki’ which will be released on December 21st.
