Blake Lively praised Taylor Swift and Beyoncé for empowering each other in the music industry.
the gossip girl The alum shared a set of photos on Instagram on Saturday from Beyoncé’s London premiere of her music film, Renaissance: A Beyoncé Film. Lively and Swift both showed up to support the “Cuff It” singer.
The actress also shared a powerful message about the importance of supporting women in the caption of the post. “When I grew up, women were always competing against each other,” Lively wrote. “It took me until adulthood to see that women’s instinct to lift each other to their highest potential is the rule rather than the exception. Most of my closest friends are women who have been packaged as a threat or competition. Our mission is to show younger generations the ability to conform rather than to Division.
“All this to say, @beyonce and @taylorswift neither of you should be threatened by your pop stardom. There is room for all of us,” she continued. Renaissance: A Beyoncé Film. In theaters now…and even better than you can imagine.
Adaline era The star’s comments came after a busy year for both Swift and Beyoncé, with each launching record-breaking world tours as well as accompanying concert film releases.
Throughout it all, the two icons had nothing but love and support for each other. Beyoncé previously attended the Eras Tour concert premiere in Los Angeles in October, which meant a lot to the “Cruel Summer” singer.
“I’m so happy because I will never know what my life would have been like without @beyonce’s influence,” Swift wrote on Instagram after the premiere. Swift attached a video of them inside the movie theater together. “The way she taught me and every artist here to break the rules and challenge industry norms. And the generosity of her spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career, and the fact that she showed up tonight was a true fairytale.”
While Swift was unable to attend Renaissance: A Beyoncé Film Premiere in Los Angeles last Saturday Since she was on tour, she made sure not to miss the world premiere of the concert film in London.
“I was invited to London by the Queen,” the Anti-Hero singer said on social media. “Beyoncé’s movie is in theaters now!!”
