Macaulay Culkin Receives a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – KIRO 7 News Seattle

HOLLYWOOD — Macaulay Culkin, who played Kevin McCallister in “Home Alone” as a child, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.

Culkin received his 2,765th star on Friday Morning, according to KTLA. It marks 40 years in the entertainment industry.

“As a very neglectful fake mother, I’m so glad he gave me another chance to show up for him,” O’Hara said, according to Variety.

Culkin is best known for his role as Kevin McAllister in Home Alone. Actress Caterina O’Hara, the heroine of the movie “Home Alone”, who played his mother in the films, spoke at the ceremony, according to media reports. His friend and actress Natasha Lyonne also spoke.

“He’s the reason we’ve all made watching Home Alone a family vacation tradition,” O’Hara said, according to Variety.

“There’s this unspoken language that child actors seem to have – Macaulay Culkin certainly was as ubiquitous as Shirley Temple! (But) our relationship immediately was one of deep, intuitive understanding, and this protective instinct for each other.

Culkin’s partner, actress Brenda Song, was also at the party with their two children, KTLA reported.

Culkin was 10 years old when he starred in Home Alone, according to Variety. The Hollywood Walk of Fame said his character was “a resourceful child who was inadvertently left behind when his family went on vacation.” He received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his role.

“Macaulay Culkin has been a staple of popular culture for decades,” said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “He has an extensive career but his film ‘Home Alone’ is one of the most beloved holiday films known around the world. How fitting that Catherine O’Hara who played Macaulay’s mother in the film will be reuniting with her son in the film and speaking at the ceremony!”

Culkin recently starred in “American.” horror story: Installment 10″ For FX and in ““good gemstones” for HBO Max, the Hollywood Walk of Fame said.

Culkin ended the party by saying, “Happy birthday, you filthy animals,” according to KTLA.
