Sunny Deol reprises his iconic role in the action blockbuster Gadar 2, an adrenaline-pumping sequel!
Gadar 2 is scheduled to have its world digital premiere on ZEE5 Global on October 6, 2023. This action drama is a collaboration between Anil Sharma and Zee Studios. It is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Gadar 2 takes us back to the lives of a cherished family in India, Tara, Sakeena and Geete, after a gap of 22 years since his last adventure. Set against the violent backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, is once again called upon to defend the honor of her country and protect her family from all adversity.
This time, the story delves deeper into Tara Singh and Sakeena’s undying love story. It also highlights the strong bond between Tara Singh and her son Charanjeet, who faces suffering in Pakistan. Unlike the previous journey where Tara Singh went to Pakistan to bring back his wife, this time he is on a mission to rescue his son. Besides Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma will reprise their roles as Sakeena and Charanjeet Singh respectively.
The film also saw Deol revive the iconic hand-pump scene and the groove of timeless songs like ‘Wood Jaa Kaare Kaava’ and ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Lekhe’, which was released in 2001. You can see them recreating the same magic they fell in love with. After an impressive run-in theater in India where he collected a whopping $63 million, Gadar 2 debuted on his ZEE5 Global and is all set to continue its success story.
