Actor Sivaji stars in new Telugu web series The 90s: A Middle Class Biopic

The Telugu entertainment industry is set for the 90s with a new family web series making its debut on the OTT platform, ETV Win. The serial, which will be released on January 5, 2024, ahead of the Sankrant season, marks the return of actor Sivaji to the acting scene.

Meet the actor

Sivaji, the popular actor known for his recent stint in Bigg Boss Telugu, leads the cast of the 90s. The series also stars Tholi Prema, who shot to fame with ‘Anni Manchi Sakunamule’ and Vasuki Anand. The trio promises to bring to life the story that revolves around a middle-class family from Telangana.

A middle class biopic

Titled ’90s – A Middle Class Biopic’, the series sheds light on the lives of mathematics teacher Chandra Sekhar, his housekeeper and their three children. Despite financial constraints, the family manages to find contentment in simply existing. However, their lives are not without conflict and the series explores their internal struggles.

The creative team behind the scenes

The driving creative force of the 90s consists of an impressive lineup. Aditya Haasan helms the director’s seat while Naveen Medharam handles the production. Suresh Bobili provides the music score while Azim Mohammad handles the cinematography. Gandhi Nadikudikar works as the art director while Sreedhar Sompalli plays the role of editor. Additional contributions come from creative producer Vinod Nagula, costume designer Sridevi Tetal and executive producer Sharveen. Lakshmi Priyanka and Tarun penned the lyrics of the serial songs.

In the 90s, Sivaj is making a strong comeback to acting after his film roles have dwindled of late. The series, which skillfully blends humor into the family’s everyday challenges and adventures, has created buzz in the industry and among fans.
