R Madhavan recalls telling his mother he wanted to marry Juhi Chawla | Bollywood

R Madhavan said that he once told his mother that he wanted to marry actress Juhi Chawla. He told his mother about his desire after watching Juhi in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). Madhavan wanted to marry Juhi after watching QSQT

R Madhavan and Juhi Chawla are both part of the Netflix original The Railway Men.

After Juhi Chawla explained her reasons for joining the cast of the Netflix original web series The Railway Men, Madhavan added, “Luckily, you said yes. I have to tell you that I want to confess in front of everyone. When I watched Qayamat Se Qayamat. So ( QSQT), I told my mother ‘I want to marry Juhi Chawla'”. Madhavan added that he did not actually get to work with Juhi in the new serial as she was only accepted after she had shot for her parts.

About Qayamat Se Qayamt Tak

Directed by Mansoor Khan, Qayamat Se Qayamt Tak starred Juhi opposite Aamir Khan and became a huge box office success. It became one of the top five grossers of 1988 and won eight Filmfare Awards, including the Best Female Debut Award for Juhi.

When Madhavan’s pregnant wife got stuck in a flood

In the video, he also said that his son was born during the 2005 Mumbai floods and his wife was trapped in a car on the road. The actor-director added that people around him helped him without knowing who he was.

Talking about the heroism that the common man often shows in times of crisis, R Madhavan said, “My son was born during the floods. My wife was stuck in the car when she was 9 months pregnant. I don’t think even our people could have. They helped a lot. They lifted the car And they moved it to the other side because they knew there was a pregnant woman inside, they had no idea who she was.

Madhavan’s son Vedant is now a swimming champion and won five gold medals at the age group swimming championships in Malaysia earlier this year.

Madhavan’s career

When Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was released, Madhavan was yet to make his acting debut. It was only in 1993 that he entered showbiz with the popular TV show Banegi Apni Baat. After working in several hit shows including Sea Hawks, he went on to make his film debut with Inferno in 1997. Before the film, she appeared in Is Raat Ki Subah Nahi as a club singer.

Madhavan made his Kannada debut in 1998 with Shanti Shanti Shanti and appeared in many Tamil films before making his Bollywood debut in 2001 with the popular romantic film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.

Since then, he has starred in critically acclaimed and successful films in various Indian languages. These include Priyamaana Thozhi, Aaytha Ezhuthu, Rang De Basanti, Mumbai Meri Jaan, 3 Idiots and Tanu Weds Manu, among others. In 2005, Madhavan became a writer with Ramji Londonwell and last year donned the director’s hat for Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
