However, compared to the past seasons, the pace of the show has slowed down a bit and the show also explores more dramatic storylines, especially when Faisal Malik’s Prahlad loses his sense of purpose after the death of his son.

The show’s strength lies in the characters it creates, not just the main cast, but the supporting and guest characters as well. There’s a great callback to Season 1’s character Ganesh, played by Asif Khan, which sets up an explosive finale. However, then again, this doesn’t give the excellent Neena Gupta, who is a real pradhan, much to do other than plod along. If he does return for Season 4, his character should be fleshed out even more.
