However, the actor reveals how he changed his mind to pursue his dreams of UPSC with the captivating narrative, exploring self-discovery, friendship, love and life’s challenges.

Young actor Shine Pandey, who is known for his role in Jio cinema’s web series UP65, is currently seen in the coming-of-age web series Dehati Ladke, which airs on Amazon Mini Tv. The web series, which is gearing up for its second season which will begin streaming on January 12, features Shine along with Kusha Kapila, Raghav Sharma and others. In this serial, Shine portrays the protagonist Rajat, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery, friendship, first love and navigating life’s challenges while moving from a village to a city to pursue his UPSC dreams. In an exclusive interaction with Zoom, Shayne shockingly revealed that he almost gave up Dehati Ladke. Frankly admitting that he wasn’t sure about the role, Shine revealed, “When I was first called for Dehati Ladke, I wasn’t sure if I should do it. At first, I distinctly remember turning it down without even reading the script or knowing more about the show.”
“I just said no. “I don’t know why,” he added as an afterthought.
But the young actor was once again approached for the show, and he decided to take a more active interest in it. Shine read the script and was fascinated by the writing and how the story unfolded. “I went to a mock shoot and I didn’t get the part, and I was very grateful,” she admitted.
But life had other plans, Shane eventually accepted the role and admits he’s never worked with a better team. “I’ve never worked with a better team and it really made my job easier on set because the people around me were the best. Every day was just amazing because of the people around me. Most importantly, they believed in me and I could see that. And that made me push harder every day,” he said.
“Once again, I’m grateful to have been a part of this wonderful time of filming, because it was just amazing,” said the actor.
Not only the team, Shane was also very impressed with the character he took on. “My character is someone who is very different from my personality and he is a small-town boy who comes to Lucknow and develops,” explained the actor, adding that the character has many thoughts and layers.
“There is one story in Rajat’s mind and that is his story, which may be wrong or right, but it is his story. But he’s definitely showing growth,” Shine said, adding that his character learns about life through his own experiences, which he says are most important to a person.
“That’s what Rajat felt, and that’s what my character is most important to the show. And over time, you get to. Watch him evolve and become a completely different person than he was when he embarked on his journey of self-discovery.” Shane signed.
