When asked, the show explores the challenges of a comedian’s life. How do you deal with challenges or setbacks in your personal and professional life? In stand-up comedy, even ten years later, open mic events can be unpredictable and not every joke can resonate with the audience. I believe that failure is a crucial step towards success, sustaining individuals and helping them to understand the true meaning of success. As a comedian, it’s about being mentally prepared for the possibility of failure, whether it’s a corporate show that doesn’t go as planned or technical issues during a performance. Managing failure with maturity is crucial in the life of a stand-up comedian.
The show has cameos by many comedians like Anubhav Singh Bass, Johnny Lever, Amit Tandon, Rakesh Bedi, Amit Tandon and Harsh Gujral. Throwing light on the same, Vipul said, “Working with all the comedian friends was a lot of fun. I knew Amit Tandon, Harsh Gujral and Bassi as I had met them earlier and we kept talking to each other. They were. We were kind enough to say yes to the cameos because all of them were quite busy, someone was filming and someone was on tour. Even after so many passes, we called them once to ask them to participate. your humor and they agreed. No one even had a problem with the script. All of them are shot very professionally. When they came on set, it was quite fun because we were all comedians, jokes and all that.’
He added, “Rakesh Bedi plays a magician and we shot together for 3-4 days and it was amazing; I learned how to like old and new actors; He worked for more than 30 years; He was very kind to share his experience with me, he even helped me act in the second episode and the best part was with Johnny Lever, I have watched him since childhood and he is also called the father of Indian stand-up comedy. He toured the US in the 90s and we learned a lot from watching him, so when we met him for a role in a web series, it was supposed to be a few minutes but turned into hours. He heard the concept and loved it, and then for the next few hours we all just talked. We met him three times and each time we were with him for hours. He was doing his parts and it was great, when he came to the set he was telling his stories and it’s quite memorable for me.”
