Exclusive! Hanuman legend Sharad Kelkar shares how he chooses projects: I don’t read scripts, I listen to them

Over the years, Sharad Kelkar has established himself as the ‘voice’ to go to for dubbed versions of South and Hollywood films. He has dubbed for stars such as Jason Statham, Tom Hardy and Vin Diesel in franchises such as Fast & Furious and Mad Max. Last year he duplicated Nani dasara and Prabhas Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. His latest project features the voice actor returning to voice Ravan on Disney+ Hotstar’s The legend of Hanuman.

Talking about how he got on board The legend of Hanuman Season 3, Kelkar said, “Whenever I do any film or web series, I mostly don’t read the scripts. I listen to them. I ask someone to read them for me and I manage to get a pulse. Whenever I do something live-action, I do the same. With Raavan too I asked Sharad (Devarajan) and Jeevan from Graphic India and the entire team to explain what Ravan means to them as creators.”
