Karan Johar has announced the re-launch of Ananya Pandey in the comedy-drama series Call Me Bae. The show will be released on September 6.

Ananya Pandey plays the role of a hustler in his relaunch project

The video starts with Ananya waiting in the studio when Karan approaches her. When the filmmaker tells her that he is going to release her, she reminds him that she has already made her debut with his film (Student of the Year 2). Karan says, “Ananya, you live once, die once, marry once but letting go can happen many times. Darling, it was a Bollywood launch, it’s an OTT launch. When asked by the actor about his character, Karan remarks, “Something new, challenging. Ek aisa role jo tumne life me nahi kya (role you have not played before).

As Ananya wonders if she is playing a ‘poor girl from Mirzapur’, he tells her that she is playing a rich girl from South Delhi. When she reminds him that she has played such characters several times, he thinks, “You’re a rich girl who loses everything. You have to go to Mumbai and fight for everything like a common man.” The video ends with a flashback from Call Me Bae where Ananya’s character is seen living in Mumbai.
