Anurag Kashyap to team up with GV Prakash Kumar for new web series

Bollywood film director Anurag Kashyap According to reports, he is going to cooperate with the musician-actor GV Prakash Kumar for the New web series. According to the latest reports, the duo is working on eight episodes Thriller seriesTheir first collaboration as a director and actor.

The two have been discussing the project since December 2023, as reported by Pinkvilla, and are now finally ready to move forward. An official announcement is expected after the release of GV Prakash’s pan-Indian film.Kingston“, is planned for the end of 2024.

Kashyap has previously worked with Prakash when he composed the background scores for ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 1’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 2’ as well as the soundtrack for ‘Ugly’. Their mutual admiration led them to explore this new creative venture. The platform of the web series is yet to be revealed and official confirmation is still awaited.

On the work front, GV Prakash was last seen in Darling, opposite Aishwarya Rajesh, directed by Anand Ravichandran. He has several upcoming projects including ‘Idimuzhakkam’ and ’13’. He is the music director of Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Thangalaan’ which is gearing up for release on August 15. He also composed music for ‘Lucky Baskhar’, ‘Robin Hood’, ‘Amaran’, ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam’, ‘Vanangaan’ and ‘Veera Dheera Soora’.

Anurag Kashyap was last seen alongside him in ‘Maharaja’ Vijay Sethupathi. The film entered the prestigious 100-million club. Kashyap will also be seen in ‘One 2 One’ and will make his Malayalam debut in ‘Rifle Club’ directed by Aashiq Abu.
