Norwegian monster movie ‘Kraken’ is working – The Hollywood Reporter

Pal Oie reunites with the producers of his 2019 thriller The tunnel To direct the new Norwegian monster movie A mythical sea monster.

TrustNordisk is handling international sales of the thriller, starting with the European Film Market (EFM) at the Berlin Film Festival.

There’s no word on the cast, but the film revolves around Johane, a marine biologist who encounters several strange events while researching the fjord, including the brutal deaths of two local teenagers. The film’s synopsis reads: “At the bottom of Norway’s deepest fjord, there lies a mythical monster as large as a mountain, with countless arms ready to crush and devour anything it can grab.”

John Einar Hagen and Einar Loftesness are producing A mythical sea monster, which will be directed from a screenplay by Vilde Eide. The Norwegian-language thriller will be helmed by cinematographer and editor Sjur Aarthun.
