Matthew McConaughey talks to Kate Hudson about how to lose a man in 10 days

Matthew McConaughey is opening up about the dynamic that occurred between him and Kate Hudson while filming his movie How to lose a guy in 10 days.
The Oscar winner sat down with the people To celebrate the publication’s 50th anniversary, he talked about some of his most famous roles, including his stint as the rom-com’s heartthrob. He recalled meeting his star before the film’s production began.
“I remember we met at Paramount — I think it was the right time — and those who are kind of meeting couches, especially for romantic comedies, want to see the chemistry between the two leads,” he said. “You want to see what jazz dancing is like. We don’t read through the script. We don’t read the lines.”
He continued: “Right away, we became comfortable with each other, talked to each other, hit each other up, and laughed a lot. There was a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll exchange, like, “Oh, this could be some heavy fun.” I think that’s why I was chosen, and that’s why it’s worked out to what extent.
How to lose a guy in 10 days It follows journalist Andi Anderson (Hudson) who tries to push the limits of what she can write for a women’s magazine by convincing her boss that she can convince a man to leave her in 10 days. Meanwhile, Ben Barry (McConaughey) is so confident in his romantic prowess that he makes a bet with his co-workers that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. When the two meet, their plans backfire.
In the video, McConaughey also discussed working with Jennifer Lopez Marriage chart two years ago. He shared that his rom-com co-star surpassed the triple threat on set, particularly singing her praises for the scene in which their characters dance together.
“I’ve never seen someone be able to design something so cleanly and clearly and actually achieve the layout of the scene,” he said, adding that she nailed the scene every time. “That woman is a worker and knows what she wants to do, and does what she has to do to make it happen.”
